Musk’s DOGE overstated claims to have saved Americans $110 bn: US govt watchdog

Elon Musk’s now-dissolved Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) had made inflated claims that it saved $110 billion in federal spending, a government watchdog found. “Several issues limit the transparency and reliability of these reported savings…Some savings estimates are incorrect… basis for some…is unknown,” it said. Musk had promised to cut $2 trillion from government spending.
