Robert F. Kennedy Jr. doesn’t need proper gym attire to practice physical fitness.
The 72-year-old United States Secretary of Health and Human Services appeared as a guest on the Monday, March 23, episode of The Bossticks podcast — hosted by Lauryn and Michael Bosstick — and revealed why he chooses to exercise in jeans, explaining it started because of his “busy schedule.”

“I would go hiking with my dogs in the morning, and then I would go straight to the gym in my jeans, and you know it was just a convenience to workout,” the environmental lawyer shared. “And then when I was campaigning, a couple of people took pictures of me in the gym wearing jeans, and then I don’t know, then I just got in too deep.”
As for RFK Jr.’s viral workout video with Kid Rock last month — where he did a cool plunge in his jeans — the politician said it was meant to be a “gag” but “worked” in that it got people “inspired to work out in whatever clothing they want.”

During the episode, Lauryn also asked RFK Jr. about the wellness practices he does with his wife, Cheryl Hines, to which he responded, “We couldn’t be more different, which I think is one of the reasons we get along.”
RFK Jr. said the Curb Your Enthusiasm alum, 60, does yoga and pilates and is “basically a vegetarian, kind of a pescatarian,” so they “cook different meals,” as “there’s nothing that she likes to eat that I want to eat and vice versa.”
