White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller delivered a brutal assessment of America’s corrupt legacy media during an appearance on Fox News, arguing that several major outlets operate as little more than political action committees for the Democrat Party.
Miller called out CBS, ABC, NBC, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Atlantic by name.
Sean Hannity:“It seems like the legacy media will never tell the story about the crazy left or what the president does. Why?”
Stephen Miller:“Because the legacy media, Sean, is fundamentally corrupt. They are an extension of—an arm of—the Democrat Party. Honestly, Sean, the media, the legacy media like CBS and ABC and NBC, and every other legacy outlet, exists to serve and advance the interests of the Democrat Party.
“Throw in The New York Times. Throw in The Washington Post. Throw in The Atlantic. They should all be required to register as a Democrat political action committee.”

He’s spot-on.
The corporate media stopped behaving like impartial journalists long ago. These outlets routinely advance Democrat narratives, bury damaging stories, attack conservatives, and run political interference whenever the Left finds itself in trouble.
They don’t report the news; they manufacture propaganda.
Miller’s remarks come after years of increasingly shameless anti-Trump coverage from the so-called mainstream press.
As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, a Media Research Center analysis found that a staggering 93 percent of ABC, CBS, and NBC’s coverage of the Trump administration’s ICE operations in Minneapolis was negative.
The three networks apparently could not find enough time to explain why federal immigration agents were enforcing the law, but they had plenty of time to attack Trump officials and portray anti-ICE activists as victims.
This is nothing new.
In 2020, The Gateway Pundit reported that ABC, CBS, and NBC blacked out Pam Bondi’s Senate presentation detailing Hunter Biden’s lucrative position with Ukrainian energy company Burisma.
The networks had previously provided extensive live coverage for Democrat impeachment managers—but suddenly lost interest when President Trump’s defense team began exposing the Biden family’s foreign dealings.
President Trump has repeatedly made the same point.
As The Gateway Pundit reported in 2023, Trump accused NBC and MSNBC of producing “one-sided and vicious coverage” and described their relentless promotion of the Russia-collusion hoax as an enormous campaign contribution to the Democrat Party.
Miller’s call for PAC registration appears to be rhetorical. Under current federal campaign-finance rules, news organizations generally qualify for a media exemption so long as they are not owned or controlled by a political party, committee, or candidate and are performing a legitimate press function. That protection can apply even to openly biased political commentary, according to the Federal Election Commission.
But Miller’s broader point is undeniable: If these outlets consistently promote Democrat talking points, conceal Democrat scandals, and attack Democrat opponents, Americans have every right to ask where journalism ends and partisan activism begins.
The legacy media’s credibility is collapsing and they have nobody to blame but themselves.
