President Donald Trump on Thursday axed Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, the first cabinet firing of the president’s second term.
And now gamblers on one legal betting market think they know which top Trump officials will be next out the door.
Wagerers on the Polymarket site are betting that FBI Director Kash Patel and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard will depart the administration by the end of the year.
The site shows that 44% of gamblers believe that Patel and Gabbard each will no longer be in the administration when 2027 arrives.
Patel was slammed recently for being seen swilling beer on social media during a celebration with members of the gold medal-winning USA men’s Olympic hockey team.
Patel has also caught flak for taking an FBI plane in order to see his girlfriend, country performer Alexis Wilkins, perform in concert.
He was also slammed for ordering FBI agents to drive a supposedly inebriated friend of Wilkins home after a night on the town.
Patel was also too quick to announce the arrest of a suspect in the the deadly shootings at Brown University in December. That suspect was quickly released.
The FBI has also come under fire over the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files.
Gabbard, the former Democratic congresswoman from Hawaii, has at various times appeared to have fallen out of favor with Trump and his inner circle.
And 42% of those gambling on the Polymarket site think that Attorney General Pam Bondi will depart the Trump administration sometime this year.
Bondi also caught flak over the Epstein files. Trump has also been said to have been unhappy over Bondi’s failure to prosecute the president’s political enemies, including New York Attorney General Letitia James.
