RFK Jr has claimed that Donald Trump once drew a “perfect map” of the Middle East just from memory as he said that the US president has an “extraordinary depth of knowledge”.

Speaking with Mercedes Schlapp at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Sunday (29 March), the health secretary recalled the time that Mr Trump impressed him with his knowledge whilst they were discussing Syria on a plane ride.

“He got a placemat, and he turned it on its back. And then he took a Sharpie, and drew a perfect map of the Mid East. And then, he put the troop strength of every country on every border on that map.”

RFK Jr said the incident “challenged a lot of the assumptions that I had been told about him”.
