Well, well, well… look at that. Trump said D.C. officials were cooking the books on crime, and now 13 of them are facing termination over alleged crime-data manipulation.
Funny how that keeps happening.

Dems have been pushing their soft-on-crime agenda while also trying to convince Americans that crime in D.C. is down. They want you to believe their cities are safe, and anyone who notices all the carjackings, shootings, robberies, beatings, and random chaos must be watching too much Fox News. But regular people know better because they’re the ones living with it every single day. These are the people getting attacked, robbed, harassed, and told to stop believing their own eyes.
And now, this new bombshell report is revealing that the D.C. crime stats were a huge part of the problem.
A whopping thirteen members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department have been placed on administrative leave and have been served termination papers after an internal investigation into crime reporting showed they were cooking the books in order to make President Trump look bad. In a nutshell, they wanted to make crime look less serious, so when Trump came in with the feds, it wouldn’t seem like he did much of anything.
Thirteen members of the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) in Washington, D.C., have been placed on administrative leave, pending termination amid an investigation alleging that law enforcement leaders manipulated crime data to create a false perception of safety.
MPD Interim Chief Jeff Carroll on Tuesday said the officers were placed on administrative leave after the internal affairs bureau completed its investigation into crime reporting and have been served with termination papers.
Some of the 13 were already on leave for other matters, he said. All were served with notices of proposed adverse action, meaning they face potential termination, the chief said.
“Our Internal Affairs Bureau has completed an investigation into crime reporting,” Carroll said. “This investigation was reported — it was referred to us earlier this year from the United States Attorney’s Office.”
The chief declined to get into specifics. Fox News Digital has reached out to the MPD, the Justice Department and D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser for comment.

If crime numbers are being faked, the public is being lied to about their safety. Also, businesses make decisions based on those numbers. Residents make decisions based on those numbers, which could easily put somebody in harms way. But the biggest key here is that politicians used those fake numbers to defend their records, attack critics, and claim everything was under control.
It wasn’t.
And if those numbers are indeed fake, then every speech, press release, and media hit built on them was also fake.
Trump has been saying that D.C. was hiding the real picture on crime, and now the cat’s outta the bag.

And the wild part is that Trump really did make D.C. safer when he sent federal resources in. Trump said his move cut crime, but local officials said no, crime had already been dropping.
But now, with this data scandal blowing up, those claims sound mighty fishy.

Trump is trying to force basic common sense back into the Swamp. Criminals belong in handcuffs, the public deserves order, and the people running the city don’t get to hide behind cooked numbers. At the same time, the White House itself goes on lockdown after reports of shots fired nearby.
But none of that doesn’t undercut Trump’s point. It proves how serious the problem still is. D.C. didn’t become a mess overnight, and it won’t be fixed overnight either, especially with soft-on-crime Dems running the city into the ground.
And it’s not just D.C. Team Trump is pushing an aggressive law-and-order campaign across the country. Kash Patel says the FBI made 40,000 violent-criminal arrests in 2025, a 112 percent surge from 2024. Those numbers should be treated like a major win, but Dems would rather massage the data than give Trump credit for being right.

Kash is right. If a Dem admin had numbers like that, the media would be running around like chicken with their heads cut off touting the victory. There’d be so many segments about “restoring safety,” “rebuilding trust,” and “meeting the moment.” MSNBC would literally be acting as if civilization had just been saved.
But because it’s Trump, the story gets buried, minimized, or ignored.

Once again, Americans are now forced to wonder if they can trust anything from an “official source.” We can’t even trust the people running our cities to tell the truth about safety. If crime is bad, say it’s bad. If the numbers are ugly, show the numbers. Don’t downgrade crime just so Trump looks like a dummy who overreacted.
