More than 25 members of the Tren de Aragua gang have been arrested, and numerous other suspects have been brought to justice, according to Kash Patel during a weekly update from the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Speaking at the FBI’s Wall of Honor during National Police Week, Patel highlighted joint operations conducted with federal law enforcement partners aimed at improving public safety.

Among the operations he cited was the arrest of more than two dozen alleged Tren de Aragua members through Joint Task Force Vulcan.
As a result of that operation, they also seized “80 firearms, 18 kilos of narcotics, and more than $100,000 dollars in cash as we worked to crush this terrorist-designated organization,” he said.

FBI Houston also “extradited Jose Enrique Martinez Flores – the highest-ranking member of Tren de Aragua ever brought to justice,” Patel said.
Individuals linked to crimes involving the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) have been brought to justice. Due to the work of FBI Los Angeles, the mayor of Arcadia, Calif., Eileen Wang, was recently “federally charged with acting as an illegal agent of the People’s Republic of China [PRC].”

“She worked to promote pro-PRC propaganda and influence activities in our country,” Patel said.
A number of other FBI divisions have also scored major arrests. Thanks to the work of FBI San Diego, “a citizen of the Philippines admitted to participating in a nationwide $48 million publishing scam that targeted hundreds of victims, many of them senior citizens.”
“FBI Baltimore announced criminal charges against two foreign operators and the technical superintendent of the 900-foot ship that crashed into the Key Bridge in 2024, causing it to collapse and killing six construction workers,” Patel said.

“And thanks to FBI Boston, two men were charged with interstate kidnapping after they abducted a woman, transported her across state lines, and held her for ransom,” the FBI director continued.
Also, thanks to the bureau, children are becoming safer around the country, too, Patel said. He noted that a former U.S. Navy officer pleaded guilty to “attempting to lure a minor online into sexual activity and possessing hundreds of images and videos of child sexual abuse,” thanks to FBI New York.
“Thanks to FBI Seattle, a defendant was sentenced to 25 years for soliciting sex online by responding to babysitting ads posted by minors,” Patel continued.
“And thanks to FBI Albany’s Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force, a Pennsylvania man got an 80-year sentence for abusing and exploiting multiple child victims across several states, including two toddlers,” he said.
The director has been the victim of what appears to be a coordinated smear campaign by the Democrat-aligned legacy media, but President Trump and his administration have stood by Patel.
In April, the White House pushed back against reports that Trump was about to fire his FBI director after a report from The Atlantic alleging excessive alcohol use by Patel.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said, “Crime across the country has plummeted to the lowest level in more than 100 years. Director Patel remains a critical player on the administration’s law and order team.”
Former FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino explained to this audience this week that the reporting was “totally false” and that “there’s something much bigger going on here, and the reason why will become clear very soon.”
“The hit on Kash Patel, the bullsh-t hit by The Atlantic, which I addressed yesterday, is gonna make a lot more sense in the coming weeks and months,” Bongino explained. “I can’t give you a definitive timeline. I’m on the outside now. However, I can tell you what I know is going on because I started a lot of it.”
“Look me in the eye, and I’m telling you, I promise this thing is gonna make a whole lot of sense. You’re gonna find out, as they say in the South, right quick about why they need him out, like, now. It’s got nothing to do with that story being even remotely true. Remember this. Bookmark it.”
