There are bad breakups and sad breakups, and then there’s the Mexican cartel version of a breakup, where Daddy sends a hitman to execute his son’s ex-girlfriend in the middle of a TikTok livestream.

Scary stuff, and as you can imagine, the fans watching the livestream were positively horrified at what they were seeing happen in real-time.
Valeria Márquez was a 23-year-old beauty salon owner. She had a big social media following and was doing what thousands of young influencers do every day: talking to her followers from her salon.
But little did she or her fans know that this livestream had a dark and deadly cloud hanging over it.
Valeria had an inkling that she was a target. She had mentioned that “someone” might want to kill her. And she made it clear that if anything happened to her, her former boyfriend probably had something to do with it.
Then a man arrived in a delivery outfit.
He walked into the salon, and within minutes Valeria was dead.
This is the moment she was killed on the livestream.

Now, more than a year after her brutal public murder, Mexican officials have finally linked the killing to Ramón Ángel Álvarez Ayala, known as “El R1,” a huge mover and shaker in the very powerful Jalisco New Generation Cartel. Officials say his son, Francisco Álvarez, had been involved in a very up-and-down relationship with Valeria and supposedly asked his father to kill her.
Now, Francisco and the hitman are reportedly nowhere to be found.
But the cartel boss (Dad) has been reportedly arrested for her murder.

When it comes to the cartel, maybe women should steer clear of the sons, unless they want to end up on the family’s assassination hit list.
Most fathers might offer their son a beer, remind him there are other fish in the sea, and tell him to stop whining.

A CARTEL boss allegedly hired a hitman to shoot a beauty influencer dead during a TikTok livestream after she split with his son.
Valeria Marquez was live streaming to her adoring followers from inside her beauty salon in the crime-ridden state of Jalisco in Mexico when a gunman opened fire last May.
Horrified viewers witnessed the brutal murder as she was struck once in the chest and twice in the head, dropping to the floor instantly.
Chillingly, she had mentioned earlier during the broadcast the possibility that someone was out to kill her.
“Maybe they were going to kill me or something,” the influencer told followers.
Prosecutors are now accusing Ramon Nagel Alvarez Ayala, a senior figure in the Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generacion (CJNG) of ordering her shocking death.
The leader of one of Mexico’s most powerful crime networks allegedly told the hitman to enter the salon, posing as a delivery driver.
Inside, he asked for the 23-year-old influencer to confirm her identity.
As soon as the hitman confirmed he had the right woman, he opened fire.
Valeria was shot three times, once in the chest and twice in the head, in what appears to have been a cold, carefully planned execution.
Then, just days after her murder, a weird bouquet of red roses appeared outside the salon.

Marquez had previously claimed that she was being threatened, claiming her ex-boyfriend should be “held responsible for anything that happens to me and my family”.
Just days after her death, a mysterious bouquet of red roses was left outside the shop with a chilling note.
They were accompanied by a note that simply said: “Sorry.”
The bouquet was considered suspicious and is thought to have been left by the suspected killer.
Did the hitman feel guilty?
Did the person who ordered the murder suddenly find his conscience? Probably not.
Was that “sorry” meant as one final sick taunt?

It’s a bizarre, twisted world where murder is treated like a business transaction and a bouquet of roses is perhaps sent to tidy things up.
Sadly, Valeria’s murder isn’t an isolated incident or criminal fringe thing that just happened.
Mexico’s cartels have grown into massively armed private armies capable of controlling territory, terrorizing entire communities, launching explosives from drones, and forcing thousands of innocent families to run for their lives.
Here’s how bad things have gotten in Mexico:
Between 800 and 1,000 families have been forced to flee their homes in the mountains of central Mexico as a criminal mafia has attacked them with handmade explosives launched from drones and powerful weapons, community and human rights groups said Sunday.
The wave of violence in the conflict-torn state of Guerrero started on Wednesday when a powerful group known as Los Ardillos began to fiercely attack the communities in a rural mountainous region.
Thousands of people – including children and the elderly – were forced to flee in just a span of days after what they say were years of mounting attacks.
And while Americans have sympathy for innocent people trapped inside this nightmare, cartel violence doesn’t create an automatic right for anyone to cross illegally into the United States.
Mexico’s citizens deserve a government that can defend them. They should be demanding that their national, state, and local officials go after these criminal empires, protect their communities, and restore control over Mexican territory. But sadly, most of the government is on the cartel’s payroll.
But the failure of Mexico’s government isn’t America’s fault, and we can’t absorb the consequences. Sorry, we’re full.
President Trump has clearly decided that the United States must fight back against terrorist cartels who are literally establishing shadow governments throughout the Western Hemisphere and fodding America with deadly drugs. Not to mention, they’re also building military capabilities right next door.
That’s why Trump unveiled the “Shield of the Americas,” a U.S.-led coalition with Latin American nations that’s hell-bent on destroying transnational drug cartels and terror networks.
The U.S. is at war with Iran. There are new warnings from the FBI on possible Iranian retaliatory attacks to the U.S. homeland.
Now, President Donald Trump is calling for the use of more lethal military force, this time on transnational drug cartels. But as cartel experts tell the I-Team, if the president is unable to leverage “coercive diplomacy,” history shows there could be much more bloodshed ahead.
He calls it the Shield of the Americas.
“The heart of our agreement is a commitment to using lethal military force to destroy the sinister cartels and terrorist networks once and for all,” Trump said.
It is a military coalition led by the U.S. with more than a dozen Latin American countries to combat drug cartels in the western hemisphere.
Critics warn that using military force against the cartels could trigger more bloodshed. Well, it’s either that or we become sitting ducks and cowards, as we “safely” stand by and watch them take over everything.

Families in Guerrero and beyond have been driven from their homes by drone bombs and heavily armed cartel fighters.
American families continue burying loved ones killed by fentanyl trafficked through these very criminal networks that have raked in tons of money, weapons, and political power.
The Jalisco New Generation Cartel allegedly connected to Valeria’s killing isn’t some misunderstood neighborhood gang of street thugs. The US Treasury describes CJNG as a “terrorist organization” involved in drug trafficking, fuel theft, smuggling, fraud, and other criminal shenanigans.
Valeria’s final moments showed the world exactly how savage these cartels are.
