A Republican candidate builds their lead on election night. The Dems start sweating, the concession speeches begin, and everyone heads home believing the race is over.
Then somebody opens the magical mail-in-ballot cupboard and another Dem victory falls out.
Suddenly, the trailing D candidate begins gobbling up absentee votes like Kim Jong Un, and Americans are once again told that absolutely nothing about the situation is weird.
Don’t ask questions, don’t notice patterns, and whatever you do, don’t raise a single eyebrow while the ballots keep pouring in.
Feels like 2020 all over again, right?
We also recently watched a version of this political “magic show” play out in the Los Angeles mayor race.
Spencer Pratt was sitting very comfortably in second place on election night in the city’s mayoral primary, roughly eight points ahead of progressive City Councilwoman Nithya Raman, who nobody knew or voted for. She didn’t even win her own district, for crying out loud. Raman was losing so badly, she actually delivered an emotional speech that C-SPAN called her “concession speech.”
Then came the handy dandy mail…
Over the next five days, Raman erased Pratt’s entire lead, overtook him, and ultimately knocked him out of the November runoff. Mail-in ballots continued arriving and being counted for days after Election Day, and the late trend heavily favored Raman by what some called “mathematically impossible” numbers.
But of course, our dear “experts” assured all of us that this was perfectly normal.
It wasn’t. We all know it.
Because when a candidate appears finished on election night and then rides a tsunami of later-counted mail ballots to a massive reversal, people are going to notice. Again, we saw this in 2020.
And now, welcome to Michigan, where this mail-in trick is played out yet again, but this time with a twist!
Dems didn’t use their trusty mail-ballot operation against a Republican… yet.
They used it against one of their own, and it failed.
The Dem establishment went into Tuesday’s primary race facing the nightmare possibility that Marxist Muslim Abdul El-Sayed, a Bernie Sanders and AOC-backed radical running very far Haley Stevens’ left, could become the Dem nominee for one of the most important Senate seats in America.
The establishment was scared stiff, and read to pull out all their tricks to stop the Marxist Muslim from winning.
Stevens was the establishment choice, she had all the endorsements from Dem power players including Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, Gretchen Whitmer, and Gary Peters. She also had about $30 million in support from AIPAC- groups. El-Sayed represented the angry activist/Marxist wing that believes the old guard is too timid, too corporate, too into capitalism, and way too supportive of Israel.
Dems created a monster.

After years of cheering on Bernie-style Communism, racial politics, anti-capitalist rage, and the rise of the Squad, the establishment found itself staring at a Marxist-style progressive who might actually capture a statewide nomination.
They couldn’t allow that…
Then the Detroit mail vote started coming in.
According to election maps circulating online, establishment darling Stevens was winning Detroit’s mail ballots by more than 53 percentage points, taking approximately 74.7 percent compared with El-Sayed’s 21.1 percent.
That might be a stunning margin in a Dem-versus-Republican race, right?
But this was D versus D race.
Meanwhile, at a University of Michigan student precinct in Ann Arbor, El-Sayed crushed Stevens 95 percent to 5 percent.
Yes, those are very different groups of voters, we get it, but a 53-point mail-ballot advantage for the establishment candidate in an extremely tight Dem primary is enough to make people squint at the screen, and wonder whether the party reached into its bag of election goodies and pulled out another mail-in rescue.

Were the election shenanigans enough to save Stevens?
No, they weren’t. They missed, but not by much.
And now Dems have a real problem on their hands, and so do the American people if this radical loon wins.

The Dem establishment has every reason to fear El-Sayed… and so do the American people.
Stevens was supposed to be the safer, more conventional nominee. El-Sayed brought his Marxist-style progressive agenda, and the backing of the party’s loudest commie wing into a battleground state Donald Trump has now carried twice.
National Dems didn’t want that candidate anywhere near a general-election Senate ballot… but now, here he is.
For a while, it looked like the Detroit mail scheme would do exactly what they needed.
Stevens began eating into El-Sayed’s lead as Wayne County reported its results. Her supporters cheered each incoming batch of those magical mail-in ballots, knowing Detroit was the establishment candidate’s only remaining hope.
The fraudulent mail-ballot cavalry was charging full force…
The marquee race for the Democratic nomination for Senate in Michigan remained too close to call on Tuesday night, with Abdul El-Sayed, a progressive former public health official, holding a narrow lead over Congresswoman Haley Stevens.
The battleground state is crucial to the party’s hopes of winning back control of the Senate in November’s midterm elections. The winner of Tuesday’s Democratic primary will face the Republican nominee, former representative Mike Rogers, in November, to succeed the retiring Democratic senator Gary Peters.
As ballot counting continued into the early hours of Wednesday morning, hundreds of restless El-Sayed supporters remained at the election watch party at the Majestic Theater in Detroit, as his lead over Stevens remained at a few percentage points.
But it couldn’t reach Stevens in time.
The establishment’s massive Detroit mail-ballot advantage did narrow the race, rattled El-Sayed’s supporters, and nearly dragged Stevens across the finish line.
But “nearly” doesn’t win races.
The rescue failed.
That leaves Dems with the candidate they spent tens of millions of dollars trying to stop: a Bernie-backed Marxist Muslim whose agenda is far to the left of any average Michigan voter and whose victory represents another major step in the Dem Party’s march toward full-blown communism.
Now El-Sayed must face Republican Mike Rogers.
And that matchup couldn’t be more opposite.
Rogers served as an officer in the US Army, worked as an FBI special agent investigating organized crime and public corruption, represented Michigan in Congress, and chaired the House Intelligence Committee. President Trump has endorsed his Senate campaign.
El-Sayed offers Medicare for All, and the same Marxist agenda that Dems have watched destroy cities from coast to coast.
There are rumblings that more “mail-in ballots” could still be rolling in. Some are even suggesting the race is still too close to call. We’ve also seen this before, haven’t we? So, while many are reporting the race is over, perhaps Dems are firing up the machines and printing like crazy.
NBC called the race for El-Sayed but other outlets haven’t…

But either way, we can’t underestimate the Democrats and their magical mail-in ballot scheme that they’ll likely unleash in November, whomever the candidate is.
