Trump administration Border Czar Tom Homan left a Fox News anchor surprised when he responded to the latest “fear-mongering” from Democrats.
During an interview on Fox News, Homan revealed that there’s “no plan” to sweep polling places during the November midterms, as some Democrats have feared.

“The Sunday Briefing” anchor Jacqui Heinrich mentioned claims “that ICE is going to be raiding polling places,” before asking, “Is there any truth to that?”
“Look, I have not seen any operational plans or any discussions on any immigration enforcement operation at polling places,” Homan said.
“This is on another fear tactic, another attack on ICE and this administration. I mean, they don’t want ICE near the polling places, they don’t want to vote for voter ID, they don’t want observers. What have they got to hide to begin with, right? There is no plan for enforcement action at polling places…it’s just another attempt to smear ICE,” Homan added.

“So look, everybody wants fair elections,” Homan continued.
“Elections need to have some integrity. So, the bottom line is, you know, the Trump administration, President Trump, wants fair elections. But I want to put that to bed. There is no plan to sweep polling places looking for illegal aliens,” Homan declared.
“That’s news right there,” Heinrich said.
“And that would go directly to the heart of this lawsuit as well. That these Latino civil rights groups have also tacked on to, they’re citing this Civil War-era law that prohibits bringing troops to places, or armed men — that’s the language — to places where elections are held. There will be people who even hear your answer there and say, ‘Well, just the threat of it, the idea of it, is enough to keep people in fear. Can can you say whether there’s been an order for…enforcement to stay away from those locations?” Heinrich asked.
“Look, there is no sense of location policy. There is no sanctuary for a significant public safety threat or national security threat,” Homan said.
“We’ll go where we’ve got to go to apprehend these people. But ICE are professionals and try to do things in a professional manner. Now, we’re arresting people that may have went to church and may went to the hospital. We don’t do operations at the locations. If you a criminal alien, you’re a national security threat, there’s no sanctuary,” Homan declared.

Homan added, “But look at the past two years, not one instance of ICE operating at a sensitive location, to include polling places.”

Homan has remained focused on securing the U.S. southern border and deportations from the interior of the country.

U.S. border apprehensions remained near historic lows this summer while immigration arrests inside the country climbed sharply.
Customs and Border Protection reported 9,295 Border Patrol apprehensions along the southwest border in July.
That was 6% lower than June, extending a dramatic decline from the historically high levels recorded during 2021-2024.
CBP also said July marked the fifteenth consecutive month with zero Border Patrol releases into the United States.
The agency said southwest-border apprehensions were 94% lower than the monthly average recorded during the Biden administration.
Meanwhile, Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrests inside the country accelerated significantly during the same summer period.

Preliminary government data reviewed by Reuters showed ICE arrests reached nearly 51,000 in August.
That was the third consecutive monthly arrest record, according to Reuters’ analysis of government and public-records data.
Local police cooperation, expanded data sharing, and improved technology have helped ICE identify and arrest more people nationwide.
The 90-day picture is therefore mixed: border apprehensions remain exceptionally low while interior immigration arrests continue rising.
Formal deportations remain near 1,200 daily, substantial in absolute terms but not keeping pace with accelerating arrests.
