Celebrity Accuses RFK Jr. Of Selling Her ‘Cursed’ House

- March 19, 2026

LOS ANGELES — Chelsea Handler recently complained that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Cheryl Hines sold her a Los Angeles home that was “a disaster” and has been called “cursed” by multiple people.

The comedian went into detail about her experience purchasing a home from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services secretary and the actress during a March 5 episode of her podcast, “Dear Chelsea.”

During the episode, she said she did not know Kennedy and Hines were the previous owners when she bought the home five years ago.

“I bought his house from him and Cheryl Hines. I still have not lived in this house,” she said. “The idea that this guy is in charge of the health of our country when he didn’t even have a proper foundation at his house.”

Handler said she was advised against living in the home for at least two years and was told it was “the most toxic environment.” She also complained that Kennedy left an illegal outdoor storage unit on the property.

Handler paid $5.9 million for the home, according to The Hollywood Reporter, which reported a source knowledgeable about the situation said Handler had opportunities to inspect the home before the sale.

Representatives for Handler and Kennedy did not immediately comment, the publication reported.
