US forces are reportedly preparing an overnight operation against Iran, preparing to launch fresh strikes amid the ongoing campaign against Iran’s oil tankers in an attempt to crash its economy.
Fox’s Trey Yingst reports from onboard the USS George Washington that the US is “scrambling jets and a helicopter to address a developing threat from Iran.”
“This is an incredibly active frontline in the conflict,” he said, noting that the Iranians attempted to hit the vessel with a missile last weekend.
Bombs were set to be launched from the flight deck “momentarily,” he said.

This comes after reporting that suggests multiple US aircraft on a base in Jordan were damaged in an attack earlier this week, which President Trump denied in a phone interview with News Nation’s Robert Sherman.
Trump was asked if the reports had any truth, and he responded, “None whatsoever. No damage. No nothing.”
The President further said that the economic pressure being applied to Iran could end the war before the upcoming election, but if not, “it’ll get settled right after the election.”
