Here’s why Bannon is ‘white pilled’ on 2026 midterms…

Not so long ago, a lot of folks were getting nervous about the midterms because President Trump was pouring so much energy into foreign policy. Add to that, we didn’t get the outcomes we were hoping for in New Jersey and Virginia, even though they are two blue states. Thankfully, President Trump listened to the pollsters, had meetings on the data they’ve collected, and snapped back into domestic mode. He’s now hitting the issues Americans actually live with every day. Important issues like the border, economy, immigration, and inflation. That’s the lane he needs to stay in, and he knows it.

Steve Bannon sees it too. Sure, he’s cautious and realistic, but he’s also white-pilled on 2026. Not in a blind optimism way, but in a “we’ve been through worse and we pulled together before” kinda way. He’s laying out what’s broken inside the old GOP and what needs to be fixed if we want to win. And honestly, he’s right. The energy is there. The path is there. But it’s not magic. It’s a lot of hard work.
In this first clip, Bannon breaks down why people should ignore the Miami distraction. In case you need a refresher on that, a Dem flipped the Miami mayor seat for the first time in nearly 30 years.
Politico:

After Democrat Eileen Higgins won the Miami mayor’s race on Tuesday, her campaign adviser sent a memo boasting the election created a “renewed sense of Democratic momentum across Florida and the country” — and predicted Democrats would be “supercharged with enthusiasm going into 2026.”

Democrats statewide and across the country exuberantly agreed, with the win in a race focused on affordability and government efficiency capping off a period of multiple wins for the party and raising hopes of a return to form in the once-vaunted swing state.

But truthfully, it’s a small win for Dems, and they still have mountains of issues to overcome in Florida. The Politico piece goes on:

But Democrats still have to contend with some serious headwinds in Florida. They’re heading into the midterms with a 1.4 million-voter registration disadvantage against Republicans. And the GOP in Florida has massively more cash than Democrats, raising $12.7 million during the first three quarters of this year compared to Democrats’ $1.5 million — not to mention severe morale and infighting issues that plagued the state party.

“This was a small win for Democrats … but they’ve turned this into big national news to keep their donors happy,” said Angie Wong, a Republican executive committee member in Miami.
Instead, Bannon wants people to pay attention to the real warning signs he sees in New Jersey and Virginia. He’s calling out the same tired GOP playbook that keeps failing over and over. Those no-Trump Republicans who push tax cuts and nothing else. The old guard “good government” Republicans who think voters are inspired by paperwork and hokey town hall slogans. He lays out why those races fell apart and what it means for the rest of the country going into 2026.
Watch:

BANNON: Miami was a sideshow. The real warnings are NJ and VA. NJ ran a no-Trump R and got crushed. VA’s a collapse. @GlennYoungkin wrecked the party. The old GOP has no purpose left.

2026 is doable. Still winnable, but only with focus and work. Roll up your sleeves. Grind. pic.twitter.com/nSpYw35AEx

That’s the part people need to hear. The old GOP doesn’t have a message, a base, or a purpose anymore. And pretending they do is how we lose winnable states. And this is where the next clip comes in, because he shifts from warnings to perspective and what the big picture looks like and the long odds we’ve overcome time and time again and why none of this is new to MAGA. We’re always fighting and clawing for each win.

Bannon says when the entire political and media machine wrote Trump and the entire MAGA base off as finished, we still won. Who can forget the felony convictions, nonstop harassment, and the “DeSimps” wreaking havoc?

He lays all of the facts out to show us that midterms aren’t some brand-new crisis. We’ve been through far tougher storms and still came back and shocked the world.

BANNON: Midterms look rough, but we have lived long odds before. They hit Trump with 35 felonies and the DeSimps, Fox News, and the Maddow crowd all laughed while Jack Smith dragged ppl in. We pulled together and delivered. This is just a speed bump.

Steve’s point is that midterms are totally winnable, but it’s a lot of work. If the movement could claw its way back from where we were in 2021 and 2022, then a tough midterm isn’t some political death sentence. But yes, we do need high energy, a lot of discipline, and a real connection with the people who feel left behind in this economy. And there are a lot of them…

The good news is that Trump’s back on the issues that matter. That’s not an automatic “save,” by any means, but Bannon sees the warning signs, and he also sees the path. His message is that midterms aren’t doomed… we just need to keep our heads down and stay focused on what working Americans are actually living through.

People are still struggling. Prices are still high. Families still feel squeezed. Those voters need to hear a message that speaks to them, not the donor class. That’s the real test. If we lock in on that and keep the energy up, 2026 isn’t a nightmare waiting to happen. It’s an opportunity sitting right in front of us.
