While members of the Trump family have been dominating fashion headlines amid their political presence, one administration figure is beginning to draw attention of her own. Karoline Leavitt made a standout appearance at a recent press event with Donald Trump, turning heads in a bold hot pink belted coat featuring structured lapels.
The 28-year-old styled the statement piece with a black top underneath, tailored black trousers, and matching square sunglasses. Her hair was worn in a wavy half-up, half-down style secured with a claw clip, adding a relaxed touch to the polished look. Leavitt completed the outfit with stud earrings, a cross necklace, and a sleek black handbag as she stood behind Trump while he addressed reporters outside the White House.
Karoline Leavitt Turns Heads In A Hot Pink Coat
Leavitt’s fashion moment truly took center stage when she joined Donald Trump’s entourage at his UK state dinner with the royal family, alongside Melania Trump.
On September 17, 2025, she sparked conversation in a floor-length black-and-white gown featuring a delicate white one-shoulder top paired with a sleek, figure-flattering black skirt. She completed the look with a timeless black bag with a gold chain and wore her hair in a chic updo, keeping the neckline clean and elegant.
While the ensemble was undeniably polished and red-carpet-ready, some critics questioned whether it was appropriate for a formal royal state dinner—especially given the grandeur of the setting.
The asymmetrical, one-shoulder design drew particular attention, as traditional royal fashion etiquette often favors more covered silhouettes. The internet quickly became divided. “I adore this woman, but why isn’t there a fashion consultant for her?” one Instagram user wrote. Another commented, “Extremely tasteless,” while a third called the look “classless.”
Others, however, strongly disagreed. “I think she looks gorgeous. Nothing wrong with the dress! She’s young, she’s attractive. Melania was showing her shoulders too—confident women enjoying a dinner with the king!” one fan shared. “She’s a classy lady,” another added, while a third simply wrote, “She is beautiful.”
Karoline Leavitt Becomes Youngest Press Secretary
Karoline is serving as the 36th White House Press Secretary under Donald Trump’s second administration, a role she assumed on January 20, 2025.
At just 27 years old, she made history as the youngest person ever to hold the position, surpassing Ron Ziegler, who was 29 when appointed by Richard Nixon in 1969.
Leavitt graduated from Saint Anselm College in 2019 with a degree in politics and communication. She attended on a softball scholarship and was the first in her immediate family to earn a college degree.
In her personal life, she married real estate developer Nicholas Riccio, 60, in January 2025.
The couple shares a son, Niko, born in July 2024, and are expecting a daughter in May 2026—making Leavitt the first sitting White House Press Secretary to be pregnant while in office.
