President Donald Trump held a White House press briefing to share an update on the war in Iran, but social media users focused on his and Karoline Leavitt’s appearance instead
President Donald Trump conducted a press conference; however, conservatives found themselves focused on something entirely different.
On March 11, Fox News paused its regular schedule and switched to President Trump, 79, addressing reporters outside the White House in Washington, D. C. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt shielded her eyes with sunglasses as she walked behind him.
Trump provided a boastful update on the Iran conflict, which began on February 28, following the coordinated strikes by the United States and Israel. The military action resulted in the death of the late Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and the elevation of Mojtaba Khamenei as Iran’s new supreme leader.

Trump stated, “In my opinion, we took out all of their ships in one night. I didn’t realize they had that big of a navy. I would say it was big and ineffective.”
“Our military is the best. It’s the most powerful in the world. And they’re hitting them very hard,” he subsequently commended.
Despite Trump’s assertions, audiences flocked to social media to ridicule their looks, reports the Mirror US.
One individual remarked, “Karoline Leavitt needing this much plastic surgery before 30 is an illness.”
Another person commented, “They both look like their face is covered with Vaseline.”
A third posted, “My god, you can even see the lip injection sites on Karoline too.”
A fourth observed, “Trump’s face today looks downright radioactive.”
Although the pair faced significant criticism for their appearance, Leavitt did have one defender who proclaimed, “Look at that little girl in pink. She’s practically bursting with happiness standing next to her boss. This is what Trump’s administration looks like.”
As the briefing proceeded, Trump stated, “They’ve lost their navy. They’ve lost their air force. They have no anti-aircraft apparatus at all.
“They have no radar. Their leaders are gone. And we could do a lot worse.
“We could take them out by this afternoon. In fact, within an hour. They literally would never be able to build that country back,” he warned.
Trump also appeared to sidestep questions regarding the U.S. strike on an Iranian girls’ school.
“A new report says that the military investigation has found that the United States struck the school in Iran. As commander-in-chief, do you take responsibility for that?” the journalist inquired.
Initially, the president seemed confused by the question, responding, “What was that?”.
“As commander-in-chief, do you…” the reporter began again, but was quickly cut off by the president asking, “For what?”
“For the strike on the school in Iran. A new report says the military investigation has found it was the United States that struck the school,” the reporter clarified once more.
“I don’t know,” Trump casually replied. The president then departed the briefing to board Marine One for a trip to Joint Base Andrews, an air base located in Prince George’s County, Maryland.
