White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt is being slammed for brushing off questions regarding bombshell reports of Russia sharing intelligence with Iran to target U.S. assets.
Leavitt faced backlash from Fox viewers after she quickly deflected when asked if the president had spoken to Russian President Vladimir Putin about the concerning intelligence developments.
“We have confirmed reports from U.S. officials that Russia is providing intelligence to Iran to help it target U.S. assets in the region. We’re sure this is something that does not please the president whatsoever. He has spoken to Putin about it?” Fox News anchor John Roberts asked.

Leavitt flippantly responded that it “doesn’t really matter” if the intelligence reports were valid.
“Well, look, I’ll leave that to the president to answer himself. We don’t comment on intelligence reports that are leaked to the press. Whether or not this happened frankly, it does not really matter because President Trump and the United States military are absolutely decimating the rogue Iranian terrorist regime,” she said.
“We are now on day six of Operation Epic Fury. The United States military has impressively established dominance and air superiority over the skies of Iran.”

“I’m sure the parents of the six (so far) dead members of our military are comforted by that,” added another X user.

The official White House Rapid Response account also quickly attempted to correct her on X, posting: “Another hoax. @PressSec very obviously meant, as she later clarified, ‘that it clearly is not making a difference with respect to the military operations in Iran—because we are completely decimating them.”

Leavitt doubled down later, saying:
“What I meant is that it clearly is not making a difference with respect to the military operations in Iran because we are completely decimating them.”
“As I said earlier, we’ve taken out nearly 30 of their ships; their navy has been deemed combat ineffective. Ninety percent reduction in ballistic missile retaliatory strikes against the United States and our Gulf Arab partners in the region. The United States military is the best and most lethal fighting force in the world,” she added.
Asked whether Russia would go beyond political support and offer military assistance to Iran, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said there has been no such request from Tehran.
“We are in dialogue with the Iranian side, with representatives of the Iranian leadership, and will certainly continue this dialogue,” he said Friday.
Pushed on whether Moscow has provided any military or intelligence assistance to Tehran since the Iran war’s start, he refrained from comment.
Russia has tightened its relationship with Iran as it looked for badly needed missiles and drones to utilize in its four-year war Ukraine.
