adrianoreid@hotmail.com - June 26, 2026

June 26, 2026, 10:53 a.m. ETGov. Maura Healey was quick to respond to the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to allow President Trump to end Temporary Protected Status for immigrants from Haiti and Syria. The 6-3 ruling on Thursday will impact an estimated 45,000 Haitians in Massachusetts. It’s the third largest Haitian community in the country, said Healey.  She called it a cruel approach to immigration that would rip away legal protections for families and children who are in the U.S. legally.
