The Lindsay Clancy trial may be over for now, but the jury-room drama lives on, thanks to a gaggle of angry harpies who can’t get over the fact that they couldn’t set a family annihilator free.
As you likely know, the case ended with one hero juror refusing to go along with the other eleven, who believed Clancy should not be held criminally responsible for the brutal murder of her three children.
That lone holdout was Michael P. Desronvil.
And once the mistrial was declared, things got ugly fast, thanks mostly to the angry harpies.
Other jurors went public and talked about what happened behind closed doors. Desronvil was painted as a rude, arrogant, difficult, stubborn jerk who refused to fall in line with the others.
But because these women were so interested in flapping their gums on TV, they talked a little too much and ended up revealing more than they probably intended.
One of the jurors, Paula Devlin, openly talked about the case as something that could “create change” for women.

Say what?
That comment was a real “stop the presses” moment, because that’s not a jury’s job. Jurors are there to follow the law and weigh the evidence, not turn the courtroom into a social-justice project.
And once she said that out loud, people started wondering if these jurors were thinking about the actual case or feminism.
And another thing that had people wondering is how much social media were these jurors consuming while the trial was going on? Because people couldn’t help but notice how closely some of their post-trial talking points lined up with the online feminist campaign surrounding Clancy.
Conservative podcaster Matt Walsh believes this statement is 100 percent confirmation that the jury was online, reading about the case.

You can’t exactly blame people for wondering. This trial was a circus.
Jurors are there to decide the case sitting in front of them, not to create “turning points” that could “make it better for other women.”
And Mr. Desronvil, our holdout juror, wasn’t buying what the other eleven were trying to sell him.
He just issued a new statement, and he wants to make it clear that he wasn’t confused and he wasn’t wavering.
He believed the evidence showed Clancy knew exactly what she was doing.

Here’s a closeup of the statement:
Well, that certainly clears up one thing, right? Desronvil says he didn’t have doubts.
His position was that the physical evidence, the witnesses, and the prosecution’s case were enough to convince him that Clancy knew what she was doing and planned it.
He also says that when he tried to explain other theories during deliberations, he was cut off.
That makes the whole post-trial mob pile-on look a tad different. Eleven jurors saw the case one way. Desronvil saw it another way. That happens.
But the really calculated part came after he refused to budge.
Instead of everybody going home and moving on after a difficult trial, the other 11 jurors decided to make Desronvil the new story.
And now he has a lawyer… a really enthusiastic lawyer.
Attorney Edward Andrew Paltzik announced that he is now representing Desronvil.
Then he dropped the political bombshell…
He called Desronvil an “American Hero and Champion of Justice,” revealed that he is a Trump supporter and devout Catholic, said he’s currently staying somewhere secure in northern New England, and warned that people who have attacked him will be held accountable.

So this has officially gone way beyond one juror refusing to budge… we’ve entered a wild new phase.
Desronvil has now put his own version of the deliberations on the record, and his attorney is making it very clear that he plans to fight back against the people going after him.
There’s also no hiding the political flavor anymore, either. Paltzik publicly identified Desronvil as a Trump supporter, while the Clancy supporters are mostly leftwing.
And that’s exactly why Devlin’s “turning point” comment matters.
Desronvil says he wasn’t there to make a bigger statement… he simply believed Lindsay Clancy knew what she was doing, and he voted accordingly… that was his duty.
He didn’t misunderstand the case.
He simply couldn’t be bullied.
