But the most profound section of this episode is the ultimate safeguard. All non-Australians who live in, work in, or benefit from Australia’s commonwealth will be bound by the new constitution. Australia will no longer trade or engage with nations that use slave labor, harvest organs, or violate human dignity. Any individual, organization, or country wishing to do business with Australia must live according to Australian rules.
This transforms industrial capacity from a policy preference into a constitutionally embedded and protected pillar of national identity. It is credible global leverage to shape normative orders.
