iNDICA NEWS BUREAU-
President Donald Trump highlighted his administration’s law enforcement efforts during a roundtable in Memphis, using the platform to praise FBI Director Kash Patel and showcase the impact of a multi-agency crime crackdown.
Speaking at the Memphis Safe Task Force event, Trump introduced Patel warmly before inviting him to address the gathering.
Referring to the FBI chief, he said: “FBI Director Kash Patel, wonderful guy, actually. You’ve got to get to know him. Once you get to know him, he’s a wonderful guy.” After Patel’s remarks, Trump added, “Thank you very much, Kash. Pretty good. He did pretty good.”
The roundtable focused on the Memphis Safe Task Force, an initiative launched in September 2025 that brings together federal, state and local agencies along with the National Guard. Officials said the effort has significantly reduced violent crime in the city over the past six months.

Patel used his remarks to emphasize the scale of the operation’s enforcement work and its alignment with the administration’s law-and-order agenda. Addressing Trump, he said, “You have allowed us to go out there and capture gang bangers, rapists, murderers, drug dealers at record historic levels.”
He also spoke about his personal journey, noting his background as the child of immigrants. “For me, a first-generation Indian American kid whose parents fled a genocide in East Africa, to become the ninth director of the FBI, I’m living the wildest dream you could possibly imagine,” Patel said.
Patel credited Trump for supporting law enforcement, saying, “We didn’t have a commander in chief who backed the blue, who resourced the blue, who funded the military, who did whatever it takes to safeguard every single life.”
Officials at the event presented data to underline the task force’s impact. U.S. Marshals Service Director Gady Serralta said the operation had made “over 7,342 arrests” in just over six months, including cases linked to 44 homicides, 812 drug offenses and 757 gang-related offenses. He added that more than 1,200 illegal firearms had been seized and 150 missing children had been located and returned.
Patel described the Memphis initiative as a long-term model for coordinated policing. “This is an enduring mission,” he said. “It is going to go on for generations to come.”
Attorney General Pam Bondi also pointed to the collaboration behind the effort, saying agencies were working “hand-in-hand.”
