The Iranian media is celebrating the death of Senator Lindsey Graham, who is reported to have died of a “brief and sudden illness” on Saturday night.
In a clip posted to X, a female presenter for the Young Journalists’ Club news channel says, “American media have announced that Lindsey Graham has died. The reason given for Graham going to hell is a sudden illness.”
On-screen text says, “Graham was America’s most anti-Iranian senator and one of the supporters of attacking Iran.”

The precise circumstances of Graham’s death are still unclear.
Given the sudden and unexpected nature of his death, questions are being raised on social media about whether he was deliberately killed.
Laura Loomer has suggested Graham’s death could be tied to recent threats from Iran to kill the senator, President Trump and other prominent supporters of the President, and to his visit this week to Ukraine, after he helped secure fresh sanctions on Russian oil and gas.
“Did Russia just poison Lindsey Graham?” Loomer asked.
“There seriously needs to be an investigation. Russia just sent a delegation to Khamenei’s funeral in Tehran where the IRGC and funeral organizers was calling for myself, President Trump and Senator Graham to be assassinated.
“Lindsey Graham was in Ukraine one day ago calling for a Russian sanctions bill that he claimed the White House supports.
“Now he is suddenly dead from a random illness according to his staff.

Graham died suddenly on Saturday night, apparently of a cardiac arrest.
“On the evening of Saturday, July 11, U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham passed away from a brief and sudden illness,” the statement shared on X read.
“Senator Graham’s family appreciates prayers at the time and asks for privacy during this incredibly difficult period.”
No details of the illness have so far been revealed.
The Washington Post, referencing audio from police scanners, said emergency service received a call at 8.30pm on Saturday night about a man suffering chest pains at Graham’s home on Capitol Hill.
About 25 minutes later, emergency personnel said CPR was being administered and the man was suffering cardiac arrest.
Graham suffered no known health concerns.
He visited Ukraine last week and met with President Volodymyr Zelensky, and was scheduled to appear on NBC’s Meet the Press today.
