Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will speak with reporters Thursday morning about pushing medical schools to teach more about nutrition as part of the Trump administration’s “Make America Healthy Again” agenda.
The press conference comes weeks after Kennedy unveiled new dietary guidelines and an upside-down food pyramid that places more importance on vegetables, fruits, proteins, dairy and healthy fats while deemphasizing whole grains at the bottom.
The health chief has also notably focused much of his policy initiatives on healthier diets and exercise instead of more medication.
Education Secretary Linda McMahon will join Kennedy.
The event is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. EST.
