Bongino Issues Cryptic Warning During Broadcast

Tevin McLeod - June 18, 2026

Conservative talker Dan Bongino issued what appeared to be a cryptic message during his Wednesday broadcast, though his show later clarified what he was talking about.

“Folks, something else is going to happen and if this is the last show I do or Erika, or anyone else, I just want it on the record that I was on the right side of this,” Bongino said.

Later, the show explained that the one-time FBI deputy director was referring to a plot his former agency foiled involving explosive drones to target the White House UFC Freedom 250 event last week during President Trump’s 80th birthday.

According to reports, the plot involved using exploding drones to cause havoc and then snipers to target the crowd.

The show noted that Bongino has frequently warned that drone-related terrorist attacks, calling the recent incident just the “tip of the iceberg.”

Bongino just wanted to remind his listeners that, unfortunately, he was right about the dangers and noted that more are very likely coming.

Meanwhile, the alleged leader of a foiled plot targeting the White House event is a Mexican national who was granted protections under the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program after remaining in the United States beyond the expiration of a visa, according to information obtained by Fox News Digital.

Federal investigators have identified Abraham Alvarez as the alleged ringleader of the scheme.

Authorities say Alvarez entered the United States as a child and received DACA status in 2014 after overstaying a B-2 visitor visa that expired in 2001.

According to prosecutors, Alvarez directed a plan to carry out the mass-casualty attack during the June 14 event on White House grounds.

Five alleged co-conspirators have been arrested in connection with the case.

Prosecutors allege the group planned to use drones carrying explosive devices to trigger a large-scale evacuation before snipers opened fire on fleeing attendees.

Investigators contend that Alvarez played a central role in planning, organizing and directing the operation.

He was arrested by federal agents in Omaha, Nebraska, on the day of the event.

The White House and the FBI declined to comment to Fox News regarding the status of other individuals who were allegedly involved in the group chat.

The White House referred inquiries to a Justice Department press release addressing the case.

“This illegal alien from Mexico should never have been allowed in our country,” DHS Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis said in a statement to Fox News Digital on the attack.

“He was the ringleader of a failed terror attack targeting UFC Freedom 250 at the White House,” she added.

The DACA program, created by President Obama in 2012, has remained one of the most controversial immigration policies in recent U.S. history.

The program allowed certain illegal immigrants who were brought to the United States as children to receive temporary protection from deportation and authorization to work legally.

Critics argued that the Obama administration exceeded its constitutional authority by creating the program through executive action rather than legislation.

Opponents maintain that immigration policy should be determined by Congress and have described DACA as an example of executive overreach.

Several Republican-led states have challenged the program in court on those grounds.

DACA has also sparked debate over broader immigration policy.

Critics say the program may encourage illegal immigration by signaling that future arrivals could eventually receive legal protections.

Others have questioned whether the federal government adequately vetted all applicants, raising concerns about public safety and national security.

The program has faced years of legal uncertainty, as well. President Trump, during his first term, sought to end DACA by executive order – the same way Obama created it. That led to a series of court battles that eventually reached the Supreme Court.

While the high court blocked the administration’s initial attempt to terminate the program, subsequent lawsuits challenged DACA’s legality.

Federal courts have repeatedly ruled that the program was unlawfully created, although existing recipients have generally been allowed to renew their protections while litigation continues.
