Jen Psaki, who was the White House Press Secretary for the first two years of Joe Biden’s presidential term, gave her brutal verdict on Karoline Leavitt’s latest briefing.
Jen Psaki, drawing from her tenure as the White House Press Secretary, has critiqued Karoline Leavitt’s recent briefing performance.
Karoline, who is still within the first half-year of her new role, has already faced criticism for her confrontational interactions with journalists and evasive responses to their inquiries. The latest to lampoon the press secretary is someone who has previously navigated the same challenges of the job, and Psaki didn’t hesitate to express her opinions.
On MSNBC News, the anchor shared her perspective on how she would handle some of the questions that have been posed to the current press secretary lately.

“I have noticed the White House briefing room has taken a bit of a bizarro turn lately,” Psaki began. “And I figured, what the hell, it’s a Friday night. Why not dust off the cobwebs and field a few questions from the White House press briefing room today? Because it’s been a while.”
She first criticized President Donald Trump for exploiting “key part of this presidency” to “make himself and his adult sons richer.”
Addressing a question about why Trump’s recent transactions with the United Kingdom were publicized ahead of those with other nations, she remarked: “The announcement and the headlines it generates are pretty much the point,” adding, “The details are kind of secondary.”
Psaki continued: “I mean, Trump gets to put on a show in the Oval Office and pretend like he’s achieved a monumental victory.”
“The deal is just a bit of an empty shell.”
The anchor didn’t hold back, pulling the Mayor of New York City into her discourse.
When asked about the reason behind Eric Adams’ recent visit to the White House, she retorted: “Eric Adams is visiting because he owes his current freedom to the guy sitting in the White House.”
Jen Psaki served as Joe Biden’s White House Press Secretary during the initial two years of his term before stepping down due to family commitments.
“I’m leaving because I have a four-year-old and a six-year-old. They’re the most important people in my life. And my husband, of course, and I always knew that having worked in the White House before, that this was not a job I could do forever,” Psaki candidly shared with Fox News in a previous interview.
She acknowledged the prestige of the role, stating: “It is a huge honor to do it, no matter where you are in your life.”
However, she added: “But I don’t want to miss things with my kids and I don’t want to miss moments or soccer practices or ballet recitals or anything.”
