The ascent up Air Force One’s steps prompted a playful but cruel jab from Karoline Leavitt.
President Donald Trump’s new White House Press Secretary took to her Instagram Story this Friday to share a glimpse of her journey from Washington, D.C. , to Palm Beach.
The 27-year-old playfully documented her climb up the plane’s iconic red-carpeted staircase , a path traversed by many commanders-in-chief.
Karoline seized the moment to poke fun at an incident from 2021 involving then-78-year-old Joe Biden, who stumbled multiple times while ascending the stairs to his own Air Force One flight bound for Atlanta.
She quipped about the President’s missteps, overlaying her video with the teasing caption: “These are the stairs Biden used to trip up,” complete with a smiley face emoji.
Karoline did not reveal the purpose of her trip to Palm Beach or who accompanied her.
This tongue-in-cheek remark follows her denouncing a recent Reuters report as “fake news.”
The article in question, citing a senior Trump official and three other sources, alleged that President Trump was contemplating the removal of approximately 240,000 Ukrainian refugees who fled to the U.S. after Russia’s invasion of their homeland.

“This is more fake news from Reuters based on anonymous sources who have no idea what they are talking about. The truth: no decision has been made at this time,” she stated in a post shared via X. However, this statement does not contradict the Reuters report.
The White House has been aggressively countering news reports they disagree with, swiftly responding through social media.
Trump and his team have even gone to the extent of excluding the small group of journalists who follow the president on social media, barring some outlets like the Associated Press and incorporating media platforms that are favorable to him.
