After questions about Joe Biden’s age pursued him in the last years of his presidency, the attention and similiar questions are now focused on Donald Trump amid numerous gaffes
Donald Trump has appeared to confuse his current press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, with former aide Kellyanne Conway.
The U.S. president was broadcasting live from the White House, hosting an event for Women’s History Month with his wife and first lady, Melania, when he gave a shout-out to his former counselor, Kellyanne Conway.
However, in a cringe-inducing moment, he seemed to experience a memory lapse, confusing Conway — who served as Senior Counselor to the President from 2017 to 2020 — with his current press secretary Karoline Leavitt. Both women were at the event.
In his praising speech, the POTUS expressed gratitude to Conway, asking his listeners: “And of course Kellyanne Conway, has anyone ever heard of her?” He went on to say: “She’s fantastic. She’s in there fighting.“

“A friend of mine said, ‘You know that Kellyanne, I admire the way she goes in there and she screams at those people’ – referring to the media, because this is a man who doesn’t do very well with the media, it’s just one of those things. But thank you, Kellyanne.”
Viewers rapidly voiced their concerns over Trump’s apparent mix-up, taking to social media to share their responses. One user posted: “He’s confusing Karoline Leavitt with Kellyanne Conway?”
Another commented: “What is he talking about? Does he mean Leavitt? Omg. He’s cooked.”
Meanwhile, a third asked: “Why, why, why is the press not treating his obvious cognitive decline with even half the scrutiny they lavished on Biden?”
Another simply stated: “Trump is not well.”
“He thinks everyone works for him,” another viewer joked.
The concerning TV gaffe is merely the most recent in a series of POTUS’ suspected health concerns. Earlier this month, the president was seen with severe scabs on his neck during a Medal of Honor ceremony at the White House. The dark marking extends across a substantial area of skin.
The White House has consistently dismissed worries about the president’s health following troubling behavior from Trump during public addresses and unexplained bumps, bruises and skin conditions.
White House physician Sean Barbabella said, “President Trump is using a very common cream on the right side of his neck, which is a preventative skin treatment, prescribed by the White House Doctor.
“The President is using this treatment for one week, and the redness is expected to last for a few weeks. “
