Harvard’s may have pulled a stunt that did them in, once and for all.
Just one day after it was revealed that Harvard Law Review awarded a $65K “public interest” fellowship to a student facing criminal charges for assaulting a Jewish classmate, President Trump made it clear he’s done playing nice with these elite institutions. Trump took to Truth Social and announced plans to yank Harvard’s tax-exempt status, saying that if Harvard wants to act like a political machine, it should be taxed like one.
And he’s right…

Now let’s be clear: we’re not picking sides in the Israel vs. Palestine conflict. We support free speech across the board, especially the controversial stuff. That’s what a free country is supposed to protect. But assault isn’t speech. Violence isn’t activism. And when a student charged with assault is rewarded with a cushy fellowship at CAIR, an overtly political and very sketchy group, everyone should question whether this decision was driven by merit… or politics.
Free Beacon:
The Harvard Law Review is awarding a $65,000 fellowship meant to serve “the public interest” to Ibrahim Bharmal, the Harvard Law School student who faced criminal charges for assaulting an Israeli classmate, according to a new report.
Bharmal is one of this year’s recipients of the Harvard Law Review Fellowship, Ira Stoll of The Editors reported. The program supports “recent Harvard Law School graduates”—Bharmal is set to graduate this month—with “a demonstrated interest in serving the public interest through their work and scholarship.” It comes with a $65,000 stipend that funds each fellow’s work “in a public-interest related role at a government agency or nonprofit organization.” For Bharmal, that work will come at the Council on American-Islamic Relations’s Los Angeles office, according to Stoll.
Now, this may not be the only reason President Trump announced his move, but the timing definitely speaks for itself.

Harvard made a choice to mess around, and the very next day, Trump responded like someone who knows exactly what game they’re playing. And they found out real quick…

Here’s a close-up of President Trump’s Truth post:
But don’t shed too many tears for poor ol’ Harvard. This is the path they chose, and what’s happening now has been a long time coming. Two years ago, we published a piece exposing how middle-class kids were getting squeezed out of Harvard admissions. And even though the Supreme Court shut down their most blatant anti-white bias by striking down affirmative action in higher education, these institutions are likely hunting feverishly for loopholes, and they’ll keep finding new ways to reward their favorite kind of students.
Revolver:
While a degree from an “elite” school is not the only way to gain access to the top rungs of status and wealth, it is still the most straightforward and direct way to do so. To win admission at Harvard or Stanford or Princeton isn’t just to gain validation as a supposed intellectual elite. It also gives one access to both a vast network of successful alumni and the immense piles of wealth stacked within the schools’ endowments. It drastically improves one’s access to entry-level hiring at top-paying jobs. It improves one’s chances of scoring academic positions. It gives a better network for trying to fund and launch a startup. This accelerator effect is most valuable for those who gain admission from otherwise unremarkable backgrounds — for instance, the academically overachieving child of a lawyer in Fort Wayne, a standardized test wunderkind from Minot, or a budding self-taught math genius from Spokane.
But now, these immensely talented but “uncool” achievers of America’s heartland are being turned away in ever-greater numbers. At Harvard, nearly half of all white students at the school are legacies, athletes, or the children of major donors, a figure that dwarfs the rates for any other race. It’s not that white applicants are overall less qualified, but rather that the school selects its qualified admits from certain favored pools, while “normal” middle Americans are left in the cold.
At first glance, it’s easy to rhapsodize about the transcendent geniuses who might go ignored and underutilized by this unjust system of racial discrimination. When John Nash, the son of a West Virginia electrical engineer, went to university, he attended on a full scholarship financed by the estate of George Westinghouse. Could Nash’s vaunted “beautiful mind” get a full-ride scholarship anywhere worthwhile today?
And speaking of affirmative action, two years ago, Harvard admitted that the great “South Africa experiment,” where the country was rebuilt on CRT and affirmative action after sidelining its white leaders, was a massive failure. That strategy led to the collapse of a once-thriving nation. Revolver’s Darren Beattie broke down Harvard’s stunning admission during his appearance on War Room in 2023.

And things aren’t getting any easier for Harvard. They’re feeling the heat from every direction, and when DHS came knocking, Harvard blinked. Big time.
After a not-so-subtle threat to yank their visa program, Harvard caved and handed over student disciplinary records tied to protests.

Now they’re scrambling to claim they “only shared what’s required by law”… but they won’t say what that actually means.
The Crimson:
Harvard shared information with the Department of Homeland Security in response to its request for information on international students’ disciplinary records and illegal activity, the University announced in a Wednesday evening email to affiliates.
It was not immediately clear whether Harvard provided all the requested records. University Executive Vice President Meredith L. Weenick ’90 wrote that Harvard had responded to the DHS’ request “to provide information required by law,” but a University spokesperson declined to specify what records had been shared.
The announcement comes almost two weeks after Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem sent Harvard a letter threatening to revoke its authorization to host international students under the Student and Exchange Visitor Program unless it shared international students’ data, including records related to protest participation.
At this point, it’s not just about one fellowship or one protest. It’s about how far Harvard has crashed and burned. This used to be a place that stood for excellence; now it’s just another woke mess that sold its soul for progressive brownie points.
Looking at the state they’re in now, you really have to ask… was it worth it?
